Your Bronco Sport is built to handle your adventures. Let me show you. The controls on your center console will help customize your off-road experiences. First, let's talk about G.O.A.T Modes, which stands for, Goes Over Any Type of terrain. Turn the G.O.A.T mode style left or right to switch modes. Normal mode is for everyday driving, and provides a balance of excitement, comfort, and convenience. Next up, EcoMode is designed to help reduce fuel consumption and deliver maximum efficiency. For a sporty steering field, choose Sport Mode, you'll experience increased accelerator pedal response as the powertrain system holds on to the lower gears longer, helping your vehicle accelerate faster. Slippery Mode helps make your Bronco Sport easier to control on slippery surfaces like ice and snow covered roads. Traction and stability controls are more restrictive in this mode for better handling and control. Mud/Ruts Mode is only for off-road driving, this mode gives you the optimum experience when traversing muddy, rutted, or uneven terrains. The traction and stability controls are less restrictive to allow more tire spin and clear mud from the tires.

Sand Mode is also for off-road use only, use this for fun driving in soft dry sand. Rock Crawl Mode is for off-road use at very low speed when navigating aggressive, uneven terrain, that may include large rocks. Back to the center console, this button turns on four-wheel drive lock. Turning this on increases four-wheel drive performance by preventing the front and rear axles from disconnecting. Certain G.O.A.T Modes will engage four-wheel drive lock automatically. This button turns on the rear differential lock feature, which provides additional traction when driving over aggressive terrain, or in case your Bronco Sport gets stuck. Rear differential lock will engage automatically in certain drive modes. Now let's talk about the traction control system, which turns on automatically each time you start your vehicle. If your Bronco Sport experiences excessive wheel spin and a loss of traction, the traction control system applies the brakes to individual wheels, and when needed, simultaneously reduces engine power. This will result in the vehicle accelerating through slippery or loose surfaces. You can press this button if you prefer to limit traction and stability control interference.

You may need to do so when navigating a steep incline so that your vehicle has the necessary engine power. And finally, this button is for trail control, which is for off-road driving at low speed. This system automatically controls engine torque and vehicle braking to maintain a vehicle speed that you select so that you can focus on steering. It's like cruise control for off-road driving. You can set your speed between one and 20 miles per hour when moving forward, and one to six miles per hour in reverse. Use the controls on your steering wheel to set your preferred speeds.
