The 2024 Camry comes with a choice of three different engine configurations and six trims: LE, SE, XLE, XSE, TRD, and Nightshade. Except the TRD all trims have a hybrid version. The powertrain options are: 4-cylinder, 6-cylinder and hybrid with 4-cylinder gas engine. The base 2.5L 4-cylinder powerplant does its job quietly and efficiently while providing 202 horsepower, and the V-6 is only available with the XSE and XLE. Thusly equipped, the 2024 Camry 4-cylinder is rated at 28 mpg in the city and an astonishing 39 mpg on the highway. A more powerful V6 engine is available for those who want faster acceleration and effortless passing power with estimated rates of 22mpg city and 33 mpg highway. The 3.5L unit powering the previous generation has been worked over and now produces 301 horsepower. In hybrid form, a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine together with 2 electric motors provides a total output of 208 horsepower, estimated fuel consumption rates are 51 mpg city and 53 mpg highway. For both non-hybrid engines, power is sent to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid gets a continuously variable transmission.
The base LE trim comes standard with Toyota's Entune system which features Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa and connects with phones to stream music or use apps such as a GPS link. Other standard features on the LE include a backup camera, 3 USB ports, LED headlights with auto-high beam, 3 driving modes (4 modes in the hybrid versions), 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, remote keyless entry, 17-inch alloy wheels, dual zone automatic climate control, 8-way power adjustable driver's seat, and 60/40 split rear folding seat. The standard Toyota's Safety Sense Plus suite of safety features includes forward collision braking, Lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and traffic sign recognition.
The SE looks a bit meaner than a base Camry model thanks to 18-inch machine finished alloy wheels, a blacked-out front grille, chrome exhaust tips, heated mirrors, rear spoiler and embossed mesh interior trim. The SE also includes automatic climate control, sport tune suspension, paddle shift, leather shift knob and steering wheel and Toyota's SofTex trimmed front seats. The Nightshade appearance package adds black finishing trims on the exterior and interior, including mirror caps, door handles, and wheels. The hybrid trims have rear collision brake system.
The XLE includes a bigger 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, full-speed dynamic radar-controlled cruise control with traffic stop and go, blind spot monitoring and rear collision alert, low/high LED headlights, proximity door and push start button, remote start via app, 18-inch wheels (a different design than the ones on the SE), vehicle tracker system, rear console air vents, HD radio, simulated-wood interior trim, metallic front grill, wireless device charging, heated front seats, power passenger seat, and leather seating surfaces. The V6 engine option comes equipped with Panoramic moonroof and 9-jbl speakers.
The sportier XSE models come with fancy, slightly tinted LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, black 19-inch machine finish alloy wheels, dual chromed exhaust tips, lip spoiler, textured metal interior trim, a gloss black front grill and a sport tuned suspension system. The V6 engine option comes equipped with Panoramic moonroof and 9-jbl speakers.
TRD is the sportier of them all with standard V6 engine, black trims on exterior, 19-inch black aluminum wheels, TRD cat-back dual sport exhaust with polished tips, larger brakes, wing spoiler, track-tuned suspension with TRD shocks/coils/stabilizer bars, and aero body kit.

Legendary Reliability
The Toyota Camry carries over with minimal changes for 2024.
The Camry needs no introduction when it comes to looking for value in the mid-sized sedan segment. The Camry realistically provides all the transportation needs the average American family would ever need. The Camry is not a compact car, but it does feature a large and extremely well-thought-out interior. Storage is abundant as well. However, the Camry still isn't as large as some of the bigger luxury cars out there, meaning it won't be a hassle to park and it doesn't get the kind of poor mileage buyers would expect from a larger vehicle. Of course, a huge part of the value the Camry represents is due to its reliability. Toyota has proven time and time again that it knows how to put together a car that lasts. And lasts. And lasts. There is no reason to believe the latest Camry would be any different.
